“It’s a real privilege to work with Chad Mauldin, one of the most talented musician/producer/engineers on the Texas music scene. His great musical ideas and arranging skills combined with a skilled hand at the recording console, can bring real magic to most any project.”
The Historic KSIJ Studio
Mauldin Productions is now operating out of the historic KSIJ Studio in Gladewater, Texas. The studio is located in the T.W. Lee building, which was built in 1950. Over the years the studio played host to such iconic artists as Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and many others. The space (consisting of a live recording room, iso room, control room, lounge, and office suite) is beautifully designed, both aesthetically and acoustically. The birch diffusion panels barrel down the near twenty foot high walls in the live room, creating an ambient yet well balanced sound. The live recording space is arguably the best sounding drum room in Texas. Chad Mauldin is excited to carry on KSIJ Studio's legacy of helping to foster the career of both established and emerging musical artists. Chad considers it a privilege to offer what is essentially the SUN RECORDS of east Texas as an available creative space for record making to his many artists.
Additionally, Chad keeps an apartment on site to serve as convenient guest housing for his out of town clients.
