What is a Producer and Why?
Sometimes there is confusion about the role of a music producer. Very often regional bands or artists do not see the need to specifically hire a producer for their recording projects. However, someone involved with the project (e.g. the house engineer, band leader, etc.) will typically and unofficially fill that role. There is a real benefit, though, to being deliberate about choosing someone for your project with experience and vision.
